MIS Rural report

The main MIS research is carried out in urban areas. The MIS team was funded by the Commission for Rural Communities to carry out research in rural areas of England to consider where minimum requirements are different, based on research carried out with groups of rural residents. The results were published in November 2010. Users of the Minimum Income Calculator can now adjust results to take account of rural differences.
