MIS and wages: a £7.60 benchmark
In early 2010, the MIS team worked with stakeholders to define what wage level is required to reach a minimum acceptable standard of living.
We have published the rationale for a living wage of £7.60 here
We have also pointed out that the latest rise in the minimum wage to £5.93 an hour is not nearly enough for people relying on this pay rate to have an acceptable standard of living.
